About Tomaysa

Tomaysa ThompsonMy passion for cooking started at young age in junior high school in my home economics class.  I was excited to come home to my family and try the recipes that I learned in class. As I got older I learned how to cook different types of foods. While on summer vacation, my mother would leave notes which turned into our dinners.  Even after graduating from NC A&T State University and entering the workforce, I still had the passion for cooking for others.

After some encouragement from a friend, I decided to attend the Wake Tech Community College culinary school.  I received my certificate in culinary arts. I felt my journey in learning wasn’t complete so I returned to culinary school to increase my baking knowledge and skills. During that time, I found I loved baking even though I never had a “sweet tooth”.  I enjoy the creative ways you can express yourself through food. Out of that experience, Soulful Delights, LLC was developed.
